Hi there,

first things first. Iīm from germany and importet Rock Band because i couldīnt wait till the end of march ī08 to get Rock Band released here in germany. So i went to my local dealer and he had one (the only one) copy of Rock Band. I was very excited to get my hands on this game because i love all the Guitar Hero games and i wanted a new challenge in instruments. So i went home, unpacked all and set it all up. Then i invited a friend and we played for 3 hours straight. No problems. The next day after work i wanted to play again but thats when it first happened. My drums wereīnt recognized by the PS3 . So in unplugged and replugged it. So it worked again. I played for another 4 hours.
Day 3: It took me 15 minutes to get the drums working because my PS3 couldīnt recognize the drums. I plugged the receiver for the Fender in ,it worked. I plugged the mike in,it worked. Only the drums were not working. After they got recognized i could play for another few hours without any problems.

Day 4 (today): I spend 2 hours to get the drums working. Then i gave up. They wereīnt recognized at all. I donīt know whats wrong with it but im pi***d. Everything works except for the drums ,and thatīs why i bought the game.

I canīt send the box in because it would cost me 180$ just for the shipping to the US. Only thing is that i bring it back to my retailer and get my money back. And i hope for him he can send the box back to his retailer.

Really,i love this game and as long as it lasted it was 100% fun. But with all this hardware issues HMX should have testet it better before releasing it.

Maybe there is a workaround to get the drum work again until march 08 (then im buying a EU copy of this bundle),but if not i am very disappointed and angry.

Btw,the Fenderīs strum bar was also not working correctly but i fixed it with the instruction s that were postet on another board. Now itīs working like a charm.

Am i the only one with this " device not detected" problem? Im really frustrated now cause i want to play the drums ,not guitar.
My guess is that the wires under the blue drum pad are loose or something.Thats where the USB cable is going in and from there it spreads to the other pads. The PS button is red but it wont work at all.
Is there a good description on how to take off the pads ?

I have the same problem with you. Except my light stays on intermittently. The strange thing is, it worked fine and then I updated the firmware. After the PS3 restarted after the firmware update, the PS light started blinking and the drums never worked.

Does anybody know of a fix for the not detected problems? Mine almost seems like a lose wire connection since the light keeps intermittently blinking. The timing is strange however, immediately after an update it just dies.

Strangely my drumkit is working again. 2 days before i tried to get them to work and suddenly they did . I didnt turn the PS3 off since then because if i do it would take another 4 hours to get them working again.
