View Full Version : Have you ever played drums with only 2 pads? Someone felt the need to at Walmart.

I thought this might be thread worthy so here it goes :P

I went to Walmart the other day with the lady of the house. She was going to pick up some Christmas decorations. So i say cool....the Rock Band demo is that way. Looking to pass the time I wandered over and found this (and yes it is blurry...they are all blurry! Leave me alone!):

Impressive eh? Here is a closer shot of one of the ends:

Want to see something even better?

My bud picked up a copy of Rock Band for the PS3. I went over to play at his house and he showed me his guitar. He then told me to look and see if i saw anything unusual. After about 5 seconds of glancing over the guitar I saw what he was talking about.

Take a look at this blurry(sorry) picture and see for yourself:

Thats right those two blurs are start buttons. He has no back button!

Anyway I thought it was kind of cool.

Discuss :P

That Wal-Mart picture is downright hilarious.

But he is only missing a Select button. Do they both act as pause button?

Yes one of the start buttons works as a back button. It just has the wrong button on it.

The Demo was completely shot. The strum bar on the guitar was completely broken (as in loose when i picked it up) and the system was off so i could not try the drums or guitar :/

You can't even play 29 Fingers with that set.

Oh and the back button doesn't pause. It activates Star...err...Overdrive.

Well, at least they labeled that it's "Not a Step."

Though they should also have labeled it "Not a Rock Band Drum Kit."

My guess is they had some bratty kids hanging on the set with their full body weight. That is just hilarious though. :D

I live in Alvin, near Highway 6. I'd expect to see that at the Alvin Wal-Mart before one in Sugarland.

That's absolutely hilarious considering the fact that my Wal-Mart (Baldwin Park, CA) looks EXACTLY like that. This must be some sort of epidemic!

people are pretty stupid when it comes to using demos in stores, some kid probably just swinged from one of the pads and broke it, parent did not say a thing therefore he went and swinged from the next pretty A*s drum. I work at a circuit city and believe me that's why open box displays are so cheap....
