I am going to be 18 next year and was thinking about trying out for American Idol...little did I know you can do that at 16 now! BUT if I understand correctly you all dont like my singing, right? Dang it, my dreams are crushed now :(

Nice to see you putting yourself out there ClinTrojan. Don't worry what others may say about your singing skills, they can't handle criticism of themselves but aren't afraid to share their own opinions of others.

It takes a lot of guts to film yourself and then solicit feedback from others, well done.

Yeah I dunno whether to applaud your spirit or suggest counciling(sp?).

I'm all with a sing like no one can year you, dance like no one is watching.. but when you record it for public consumption it's a whole new ball of wax I think, you've put yourself out there and now you have to expect/accept criticism (which you seem to be doing just fine... which indicates a bit of a put-on).

Napoleon Dynamite isn't as funny as people think it is. Too many people on the internet think they're the best-this, or the funniest-that. I understand parents have been preaching for the last 20-30 years that you can 'be whatever you want be if you put your mind to it', but thats really just an attitude and shouldn't necessarily be viewed as an entitlement. Talent is necessary.

Besides all that. What happened to modesty? Maybe it was an illusion all along.

Anyhow, good on ya.. but you've got a long way to go. :)
