Will there be voice chat online?

There definitely should be in the lobby, but what about during the song? What do you guys think?
The singer will obviously be pre-occupied (not only that, but the mic plugs into the headset jack in the 360 controller, so that essentially is his Xbox Live mic as well as his Rock Band mic) and I'm not sure how guitarists, bassists and drummers would feel about talking while rocking.

i really hope there is talking online..otherwise it would kinda suck...but if the mic doubles for a headset...i've mentioned this in other posts...i hopethe band can actually hear the singers voice in the song

From the videos I have seen you can hear your voice. When your singing it mixes your voice with the song's singers voice and when the song doesn't have a vocal part you can still talk into the game...

I'm assuming someone you're playing with hears your voice just the same as you do.

sweet...that just put this game at the top of my list...it was already there but now i'm more eager to buy it...to hear myself sing..my band will kick ass

I would think they do, since you would hear how they play their guitar or bass or drums.

in the gamespot demo I think the mic was plugged into the xbox controller(which makes sense). SO I presume it's linked into any other xbox voice feature.

but what about other people? i doubt they'll be able to talk except in the lobby with another controller hooked up maybe?

if its local there is little point for chat abilities.

I'd like to have the lobby chat available mainly just for picking songs to play. Rather than the host picking every single song to play, or trying to type in the song on a keyboard, or worse a controller.

I also want a voice chat option. When playing Face-Off against one another over the internet, how am I going to trash talk otherwise?

The system is already there to use over xbox live, just an option to turn it on or off for the game would be great.

Oh, and the lobby system would be cool too.
