Rock Band Canadian Release (EA confirms 27th)

I know that on the other Closed Canadian Release date thread it says December 17th, but there is a problem with it.

Why?

This one says 20th (Newest Press Release)

The difference though is that the one that says 20th is a press release from today, while the other one is from a month ago.

Also the7gamers has talked to a rep from EA to confirm release date of December 27th

There is still hope, I know it is slim, but my local EB says that it is expected to arrive in their warehouse on the 20th (I know that is the ship date, and they are aware of it too, being that most of the guys that work there want the bundle as well, they have been keeping on top of things). If it does arrive in their warehouse on the 20th, they say it is possible to have in in hand by Monday (24th).

The chances are slim, but there is still hope. In the meantime I will continue to rock on the stand alone version with my mic and guitar. Still far superior to GHIII and I will dream the dream of drummers drumming until sometime, before or after Christmas, when my bundle arrives I get to hammer away for real.....

As much as I am looking forward to us breaking Rock Band open at Christmas here... It's not the only thing going on for Christmas. Sure, I'd be disappointed if we hadn't been able to get it, but would our Christmas have been ruined? No holiday based around joy, cheer, family or whatever you peg it, should hinge on a single video game... Not even one as cool as this.

Hahaha I nerver felt for this one, I was ont of the people arguing that it would be pushed, but almost everyone was in denial.. I was just remebering the GH1 and I had learned my lesson: Canada is 2nd where there is a supply sortage..

But anyway, we'll get it eventually. And I'm still hoping hoping for the patch.. ;)

Quite frankly, if it was any other time I would be unburdened by the delays. But alas, this is Christmas. This is the one time my entire family gets together (nearly a hundred of us in our not so big house). It's hard to entertain these days, but last year Guitar Hero was a huge help in keeping my cousins not bored. This year I figured I had Rock Band and that would kick it up a notch, at least I thought it would. Now I doubt I'll have this in my hands before the new year even. Whatever. I'm tired of this. I can't drive to the border, don't have a license and my dad just laughs at the idea of it.

And the spirit of the holidays has nothing to do with giving or receiving. It's not about gifts or any of this commercial crap. It has to do with appreciating what you have and showing your loved ones how much you care about them. It is all about sharing the company with those you care for. It's also a time for recognizing the religious importance of the holiday which you are celebrating, but most people don't even realize this anymore.

I'm going to have to agree somewhat with the above. Last year we had a bunch of family and cousins over, and Guitar Hero 1 and 2 were a HUGE hit. I'd have imagined Rock band would be over even more since a few of the girls love to sing, and adding in bass and drums, well, alot more people can join in.

We had *fun* last year, and I also was looking forward to having Rock Band in time for when everyone gets together so we could have even more fun. As it is, it doesn't look like that will happen. I don't want to whine and cry about it, but I'd be lying if I didn't feel a bit disappointed by it. I wouldn't go as far as to say it will RUIN Christmas (Even if it is the only present I'm getting), but still... it's disappointing when things could have been handled better.

all you wannabe philosophers need to SHUP UP. There is no one meaning/reason of the holidays and to try and tell someone why they love the holidays is wrong is just stupid. It has its own meaning to everybody. If people just care about getting presents leave them alone cause thats wut it means to them (even if it is kind of sad).

As for me, i'll gladly take Turkey over presents any day :)

And if for some reason you still had hope of seeing RB this week, it was no where to be seen in this weeks best buy and future shop ads so don't expect to see it this week. When GH3 came out it was all over their flyers.

If today is the ship date and December 20th is the arrival date (at store warehouses). It wont ship out of those warehouse's until friday because there is a turn around time. So it might arrive in some stores on Xmas eve and if not then your looking at the 26th-28th range.
