Is EA even doing anything about all these problems?

You mean besides replacing the instruments free of charge?

Not starting the warranty yet?

And yes there have been EA reps on these boards.

Please people, stop complaining. :p

No, I think he means defective replacements sent out, replacement orders in limbo for weeks, empty boxes being shipped when they should contain a new, working guitar, for express replacements, and holds being automatically cashed in after 28 days even when they haven't even sent a guitar and return box.

Please people, stop complaining. :p

Of course, so we can be absolutely sure that there's no pressure whatsoever for them to provide an acceptable level of support and fix their screw-ups. Damn right we should complain when there are issues. Glad everything is working for you, but don't minimize the problems with the game and then with support.

You mean sending people free games and $20 off coupons?

Ok, the tongue sticking out face was there to denote sarcasm.

Why do they need to update it? All of your whining and complaining like 5 year olds has made it quite clear that everyone knows the problem.

You people are freaking insane. A disgrace to humanity.

for one thing they must know of the problems if they are working on fixing them

To be quite fair, just about everyone here paid $170 for what amounted to a broke-ass product. If I weren't such a calm person, I'm sure I'd be ranting and foaming at the mouth, too.

If you don't want to see people complaining about broken equipment, then why are you in the tech support forum?

Why do they somehow not need to update their site. It seems like the RMA process has been delayed to ridiculous lengths for many people, and for those people to then go to the site and see that it hasn't been updated in a month isn't going to send a good message to the customer unable to play guitar because his/her strum bar is broken. I realize that they have offered free games to *some* people, and things like not starting the warranty and replacing equipment no questions asked are nice gestures, but really its the end result that matters, and that is that most people opened their brand new product to find broken/missing equipment inside, and for many of those people that "express" 2 day RMA has extended into weeks. I realize that its the holiday season, but it really is pathetic that EA has become 'overloaded' with RMA requests because of so many people getting the game for christmas and realizing its broken all on the same day.

There is no paint in a paintball. Research before making jabs. And no, I dont work for either company. I realize everything cant be perfect. I realize they are doing what they can to fix it. That's something most of you have failed to do.

Are you serious, paintballer? What do you mean by we aren't doing are part to fix it? We're making our issue heard through our only means of doing so (this forum) and following all the steps necessary to try and get a replacement.

What do you suggest? That we dismantle our guitars and drums to backwards engineer them and then try to redesign a working stratocaster ourselves? I didn't pay $170 to play "Let's fix a broke toy guitar" =/

You misunderstood my post.

I meant I have made the realization that they are trying to fix this.

You people have failed to MAKE THE REALIZATION. Understand now?

sorry, but it very frustrating people telling me to stop complaining when really there is nothing being done for me at the warranty return portion of these companies. they keep giving me run arounds about how xmas and such have effected shipping. i called in my defect on november 22. since then at this forum i have read very negative things.ive also read how EA / HARMONICS is doing everything possible to correct this! i've been reading how people after me calling in my defect call in with defect and pay a deposit are getting there equiptment takin care of within days. there is no excuse for not shipping a box!! even when its prepaid at ups for second day air!! To me this is a very bad way to run a business and things should be taken care of in ORDER RECIEVED not by who's given a deposit. i know this to be true because my nieghbor chose the deposit option nine days after i called in my warranty and has already recieved his replacement! so there is nothing EA / HARMONICS can say to make me believe they are doing everything possible!!!:mad:so until something is done i'l be right here!

Why is it so hard for EA to make a plastic guitar? I have been waiting for this game for so long. I got it the day it came out and i had to wait for christmas to open it. I starred and read the box all day excited to rock. Christmas comes and im more excited than ever. 2 days later....guitar downstrum problem and doublestrum downwards and triple upwards. I think that like 1% of the rock band guitars are not defective and im not kidding. technical support is like the most viewed and posted section on these forums. There is a post every 10 minutes or less. People are telling US to calm down?? Try spending all ur money on ur only christmas present finding out that it broke....

why do they call them paintballs?

why do they call them paintballs?

Good question. The "guns" are TECHNICALLY called "markers". I guess in the sense that they "mark" something seeing as the material isnt paint.
