USB microphone in Rock Band

Hello all,

I have a Microsoft brand USB microphone that I tried to use for Rock Band 2, and the game doesn't recognize it. I plan to get Beatles Rock Band soon, and I will need the extra mic. Is there any possibility it will work on that game even though it doesn't work on Rock Band 2?

Which microphone specifically are you trying to use? I'm going to hazard a guess and assume you're talking about the wireless LIPS microphones?

The LIPS wireless microphones for Xbox 360 currently do not work with Rock Band1, Rock Band Track Packs, or Rock Band 2. They DO work with The Beatles: Rock Band.

There is reportedly a patch coming (soon?) which will address compatibility in Rock Band 2 for these microphones, along with a number of other issues.

Actually, no, it's a microphone for a PC, not for the Xbox. Let me try and find the model number. I believe it's the Microsoft Lifechat LX-3000 (http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/digitalcommunication/productdetails.aspx?pid=006). It is a USB microphone, though.

it's gotta be a USB compatible one.

It is a USB microphone, but it's a headset one. I wouldn't think it would matter, but the game doesn't recognize it.

I have attached a picture of it. It is a USB mic, so I thought it might work.

Most headsets aren't recognized by The Beatles: Rock Band for some reason.
