So, if you had the chance to request any six songs for a dream setlist what six would you choose? Here is mine. I will probably change my mind on these in the next five minutes, though.:o
1. Reelin' in the Years - Steely Dan
*Sweet double guitar solo that is very original and rememorable. Steely Dan is a very smooth and underrated band IMO, that deserves some place in this game. They have several songs that exhibit fine musicianship, but RitY is probably their most recognizable track.
2. Couldn't Stand the Weather - SRV and Double Trouble
*Title track from a breakout album that introduced the world to the genius and the original style of SRV. I love SRVs blues driven texas rock sound. Very energetic track that is sure to be a blast for bass, drums, vox, and well... lead guitar of course.
3. If you Want Blood...-AC/DC
*Drop the hammer! This would be a good time had by all in my opinion. Seriously any number of AC/DC songs would be tailor made for RB, but this one takes me back to a song that really used to get my motor running. Vox would be a wild ride on this one for sure.
4. Pretender - Foo Fighters
*Foo Fighters are great and we could use any number of their songs in RB. I thought I would go with the most recent and commercial hit at the moment. It would be pretty sweet rock out to this one like right now!
5. Go Your Own Way - Fleetwood Mac
*Fleewood Mac have a lot of songs that I think lend themselves well to all four instruments. A great band that deserved to be in this game. I chose this track because of the passion that they put into this one.
6.Any Led Zeppelin song....I can't really be picky here. I would be hit the roof ecstatic to rock out to pretty much any Zeppelin song.
So that's my list. Too wordy. Too many old bands here. I meant to put Clapton in here not sure how I left him out.
