DO NOT GET NBA LIVE if you're getting a basketball game. Go with the hockey but only if you've got a 360 cause EA messed it up on PS3.

General advice would be to get skate.

I enjoyed skate, so if I had to get a game to keep, it'd be that.

Instead, I'm aiming at getting the newest game, that is most likely to be $59 in all stores so that I can hopefully exchange it for store credit, and get something else that I want (CoD4, maybe UT3). If one store won't allow it, I'll just move along to the next one, and it's bound to work eventually.

Unless EA does something to prevent that, like sending you the disc in a paper sleeve, without a case or instructions.

I agree. That'd be a nice option to have.

Once the rumored price for the RB bundle was $199, I basically had it set in my head that that would be the real price, so I kind of wrote off that amount in my head. Once it dropped to $169, I figured it was a good deal, but I'd put the $30 difference toward DLC. So far I've only spent ~1/2 of that, but I'm waiting to put the rest toward Who's Next, whenever that may be.

It might have come up in the threads in the past few days, but I've been away (and this is also getting off topic) but I was reading one of the many "best games of 2007" lists on a website, and when talking about RB they mentioned how the game will continue to grow, thanks to the DLC, which they said will include stuff from Rush. Maybe you can chalk that up to crappy fact-checking, but I'd like to hope someone let something slip.

For the person who wants DLC, trade it in for M$ points if you have a 360. Warning: This course of action may be considered unethical by some.

Not to mention that EA will end up making money off the game they gave away for free, if someone ends up buying that copy that I exchanged at the store. It's a wash for the store. So the only one that comes out a loser, I guess, would be whoever made the game I end up trading for.

****! I want the Orange Box and nothing else! Has anyone tried calling customer support and asking for the Orange Box? If anyone has had luck with this let me know! I might try it when i get some free time. Gamestop already told me i couldnt trade it in for another game. They would only give me store credit as if it were used even if it's still new.

we ordered replacements the 20-22 of november and recieved them just last week

Like JS above me said, it's not a glitch. The people who are receiving free games requested replacement instruments within the first couple days the game was out AND didn't receive them for quite a while. It's not for everyone who requests a new instrument, because if it were, everyone would be requesting new ones, even if theirs were fine, just to get the free game.

If you didn't request a new one between, I don't know, Nov 20-22nd or so, then you won't get the free game offer.

If you placed it between the 20th and 22nd, but received your instrument within a week or so, then you won't get the free game.

If you requested a new one between the 20th and 22nd AND it didn't show up within a reasonable time AND you didn't receive the email yet, then maybe you should call up EA.

Won't come until the end of January. It said this on the screen after you submit your game choice. I chose skate, however I think I might trade it in for some MS points to get some DLC.

I'd recommend skate to anyone who loves skateboarding I've played skate EVERY day since the demo came out, I'm an official EA moderator over at the EA SKATE forums, awesome community of people who create skate movies and everything.. I love that game.

Skate or MoH:Airborne for me. Anyone heard if MoH:Airborne is good? (I suppose i could go read a review but first hand accounts are always nice to hear) I'm going to be getting CoD4 soon anyways so I might be better of with Skate, unless MoH is really good.

As long as you don't expect it to be ANYTHING like Tony Hawk, you'll love it.

Its what I would call being as close to being on a real skateboard as you can get through a console video game.
