How About Some Flight of the Conchords

I don't know if many of you guys have heard of the group, but they're a folk comedy duo. Hey, if they have Timmy & the Lords of the Underworld, why not some other comedy stuff. I loved watching the show they had on HBO and I can't wait for the album they're going to release with their songs on it.

Prince of Parties
She's So Hot, Boom!

Watch some of the videos on youtube from the show and see what you all think about them. I would gladly spend a bunch of money for songs from them. It would make my day.

My vote goes for "Leggy Blonde". Sure it might not be the best suited to the game, but the part where it goes all techno and Jemaine says something like:

Flight of the Conchords is hilarious. It's too funny, and impossible to express how much so, even with all the words in my ... uh, that thing where it's, like, all the words you know? Oh, yeah -- vocabulary. ;) I would buy any and all content they release without a moment's hesitation.

Yeah, I get what you're saying about the 2 guitars part. But since they're putting a studio album out sometime soon supposedly, you have think that there's a good chance at having drums too. I hear the album's supposed to sound like they television versions, and there are definitely all the instruments Rock Band uses.

I'm totally keeping this thread alive until HMX gets some FoTC in Rock Band.

I loved Flight of the Conchords' show on HBO and they have some cool songs, but I don't think it'll work on rock band. Like someone said, it's mostly two acoustic guitars playing folk music. For comedy you're better off with Tenacious D, they'd be perfect for this kind of game.

In case you missed it, they released an EP, The Distant Future, this year. It has Business Time, Robots and like three other songs on it.

Oh man, Flight of the Conchords is my top most wanted group for Rock Band downloadable content. I know technically they're only a 2 man band w/ 2 guitars, but really most of their songs do have drum beats and obviously have vocals, so I think they'd definitely work. I can pretty much guarantee that if EA/Harmonix put FotC songs up for download, every fan of the show would have no choice but to buy them.

I really don't get why people don't think FotC songs would work in RB. Most of them have a drum beat (even if it is synthesized) and despite being called "Rock Band" I think that the game can really accomodate all kinds of music including novelty folk. And really, can you think of a lot of songs that would be more funny to sing than the FotC ones?

I love love love FotC, but agree they aren't ideal for Rock band.

I also love love love Tenacious D and TOTALLY vote they get some songs on Rock Band! I would love to rock to "The Greatest Song in the World"!!
