View Full Version : Am I the only one disappointed that Practice is gone?

Maybe I missed the memo but I don't remember anyone saying anything that this would be the first RB with out practice. I'm trying to get the 2 sections of Helter Skelter on expert drums to get the 100% achievement and I keep having to play the whole song to retry those sections and try and get better. It's a little annoying.

Am I alone in this? I rarely used it in RB1 and never used it in 2 (was it available in that one?) but I've always relied on it being there. :confused:

There is a practice, you just can't slow down.

I think it was to keep from unauthorized sampling. You know how strict they (and by they, I mean Apple/The Shareholders) are with this kind of stuff.;)

if you cant slow it down then whats the point of even including practice mode?

So you can practice, concentrating on hard sections looping?

Ummm... Am I the only one with Practice Mode that allows you to slow down the song down to 70%?...

My understanding is that, on the wii, you can't slow it down in
practice mode; but on xbox and ps3, you CAN slow it down in
practice mode. I created a thread over in game tech support;
there has been no official response. I've no idea why it was
left out.

That's because you're on a Wii. On an XBox 360, there is practice mode and you can slow it down.

Wii's inability to slow down the track is likely a result of hardware limitations, unless you want to believe that HMX didi it on purpose to punish Wii owners.

I don't know why the OP is overlooking Practice mode on his game. There's the word "TRAINING" in the middle of the main screen. When you select it, your options will be "Tutorials", "Practice Mode", and "Drum Trainer" (if you're using a drum kit to play).

I have no idea why it was left out of the wii;
sure would like to hear from HMX; but I have not.
Practice mode worked perfectly fine in wii RB2. Sigh.

Slowing down the music without affecting the pitch is an expensive process, likely too expensive for the Wii.

Ok, I feel that if practice mode slowdown in wii RB2 can work,
AND practice mode slowdown in TBRB works on ps3 and xbox,
why not in wii TBRB? I haven't heard anything from HMX, don't
know if it was a goofup or whether the omission was intentional...

Pssh Nevermind.. apparently I posted a bit too hasty. 70% is fine enough with me
I just didn't want to have to do the whole song. Hell I just use normal speed.

Most of the tricky drum parts of songs are in the beatle beats section and can be slowed down.

I actually prefer this method since you don't have to go through repetitive simpler parts over and over just to get to the tricky part.

Why would you have to do the whole song in practice? You can select specific sections, too.
