We get the same tracklist on disc as the americans. The only difference is DLC, its apparently going to be regionalised for each country.

Just as long as the regionalised dlc is in addition to the tracks our american friends have already got.

While I'd be interested in getting some homegrown talent (Artic Monkeys, Kasabian etc) I want the other stuff to.

No, there will be different or more Bonus songs or even additions to the main setlist! Every country gets specific content, even on the disc. So Germany will get some German songs, Spain some spanish...etc.

I don't think we'll be getting a special Australian version - the market is no where near large enough to justify it. Wouldn't we just be getting the PAL European version?

Either way, I really really hope they don't change the setlist too much, and they definitely better not withhold the DLC that's been released so far in favour of other stuff. That would be.. stupid. :(

I hope that regionalized thing is just for specific language lyrics on a few songs. I swear, if the people in germany are getting power metal bands like Blind Guardian or Mystic Prophecy who just happen to be from there, while we get stuck with linkin park or something, I'm gonna be ticked.

.....but you'd get metallica and the rest of the thrash scene.

As long as the artist is popular worldwide, I think everyone will get it.
I think the regionalised stuff is going to be music that is really only popular in said countries.
For example:
UK: The Stone Roses, James, Bolt Thrower
France: Trust.
etc etc

Although, it would be hilarious to see the reaction on these forums if they announced Led Zeppelin as regionalised for the UK :D
Although, the same would probably happen for pretty much all of the UKs music:
Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, The Who, Rolling Stones, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath......

I wonder does this mean a separate track list will be included in the canadian game now THAT would validate the late release

I don't think country specific regional content was mentioned - I think they referred to European regional content. For the number of sales say here in the UK, I don't think it would be worth the time money and effort for HMX to localise it to that extent (although I would love to see that). I think it will be limited to DLC for country specific stuff. If the PAL release of the game does differ to the US version, I would imagine it will be the same version for the whole of Europe. But thats just my view on it.
