Internet Connectivity

I have Rockband 2 and I really enjoy playing it but I do not have internet
access where I am. When I go to try to play tour the game tries to
connect to the internet which is quite inconvenient as it takes over a
minute to discover that it cannot connect. I need to know if there is a way to prevent that from happening.

first off (the obivious) select local tour instead of xbox live tour

second make sure that there isnt an ethernet cable (or any wireless connection) connected to your xbox as you dont have internet

also if you are trying to play battle of the bands it wont work as you dont have internet
