Does Overdrive multiplier work during "Big Rock Finish"?

Just wondering if the Overdrive Multiplier works during the "big finish" portion of many songs, or if I should try and use it up before I reach it.

It does not. You'll notice that the Overdrive bars and multipliers all disappear when the Big Rock Ending starts. Use it up before you get to the BRE.

Thats what I thought, but just wanted to verify.

I've been seeing a lot of people save Overdrive till the end during Band Quickplay, and thought it was odd.

They could be like myself right now, and have some strange iterations getting overdrive to kick off well. I end up either having it spark while strumming, or pressing the back button. The risk of dropping notes while trying to hit overdrive makes me hold off more than "normal" on using it, though.

It probably doesn't make a difference in score but I've noticed that you can still activate it (in that the sides of the fret board turn gold). Not that it helps your score or anything but it looks cool :P
