Konami has created the ultimate cash cow.

From the article on kotaku.com: (http://kotaku.com/5366857/scene-it-brings-twilights-sparkle-pony-vampires-to-the-wii)

Konami takes the Scene It? franchise in a decidedly darkly romantic direction with Scene It? Twilight for the Nintendo Wii, based on the ridiculously popular "vampire" movie.

There's just no escaping Twilight. It's in the supermarkets, video stores, and books stores. It's in the food we eat, and the women we date. To survive as a man in this world, you have to be vaguely familiar with it, and you have to try not to giggle when Edward tries to look intense but instead looks like he is going to vomit. Perhaps Scene It? Twilight is a good idea then? I mean, it is a video game at least, and guys like those. With more than 500 multiple choice questions featuring clips and images from the film, new gameplay modes, and a user interface designed to please fans of the movie, you can actually learn, while playing a video game your girlfriend won't mind taking up the TV between DVD screenings.

Thoughts? Comments? Post 'em here.

Pure and utter tripe. My wife and her friend will probably get super duper kicks out of it though.

The Scene It games for the 360 are awesome. The interface is cool. I wonder if they will do the same thing for the Wii?

But I still stand by my opinion of Twightlight:Scene It. Should have came out with Star Wars: Scene It first.

I would totally love a Classic Rock Scene It. I'd buy that. I'd also buy a Star Wars Scene It. Star Wars is awesome.

Wait a sec.... over 500 multiple choice questions? Seriously? The movie is frickin' 2 hours long. How could you possible create 500 questions from that? Even if you use the book, which according to Amazon is only 544 pages, you would be looking at a 1:1 page to question ratio.

They may incorporate the rest of the books from the series.

You'd be surprised by how many people have memorized some of the pages because they've read them so much.

Maybe, although SceneIt? usually just focuses on the movies. For example, the LotR SceneIt? rarely touched info from the books. Every once in a while, perhaps, but 90% of the questions were based on the movies.

Then it may be questions like, "at 1:30:40, Character X said what word?"

I bought the Friends trivia game for laughs, and I'll probably buy this too

And because of this, Nintendo will brag about it at their pressers.

It's only the ultimate Wii cash cow because Blizzard hasn't released a World of Warcraft Scene it!. Good for the fans of Twilight, I suppose. I'm sure some one out there is excited for this. :D

Can you imagine a Twilight/WoW hybrid, though? The planet would implode from the world's wealth all accumulated in one spot: the gold plated sky castle anchored by the 2 mile diamond encrusted yacht of the companies' CEOs.

I'm on my way to pre-order this gem as I type.

I probably shouldn't be typing while I'm driving, though.

Ehhh. I'm not so sure about this. If there was something like this for the books, I'd get it now. But not so much for the movie.

I thought Nintendo actually had a chance when they released Metroid Prime: Trilogy.

This is just terrible...
