Hi all.

In four hours, my friends and I are going to take a 24 hour gaming marathon for charity in a attempt to secure donations for Texas Children's Hospital.

We are starting earlier than the Oct 17 date because I am using my birthday as an excuse for doing the charity event.

Please donate and if you want to do it yourself, sign up at extralife.sarcasticgamer.com.

Donation page for our team:

http://waystogive.texaschildrens.org/NetCommunity/Page.aspx?pid=210&frtid=318

Donations are in PayPal, unless you're in the continental United States.

We're hoping to at least make the 500 mark.

Please donate!:)

I don't get it. How does this raise money for charity? Does the website contribute something, or do you just play games for 24 hours and hope enough people donate?

I could do it, man.

I would go 48 hours, though. :D 24 hours doesn't seem extreme enough to get noticed.

It's in the hope people will sponsor you and donate.

Two questions:

1. Will you be streaming it online?
2. What games will you be playing?

1. Sadly, no, as I did not buy a webcam (I've been very thin on cash as of late, and the webcam we do own is lost somewhere. However, I will be putting updates in this thread as we go along by the half-hour.

2. The Beatles: Rock Band, Rock Band 2, Mario Kart, and some stuff off an old Atari system. Anything else will be determined as we go along.

Also forgot to mention, donations must be in Paypal. I guess that's all Texas Children's is accepting.

EDIT: Nevermind, they do accept other payments, but International donors must use PayPal. (well preferred anyways)
