I haven't really seen any discussions about some good Progressive rock bands such as:
Evergrey
Pain of Salvation
Porcupine Tree
OSI
John Petrucci or Joe Satriani, Both amazing guitar players.....
Liquid Tension Experiment
James LaBrie
Dream Theater (Somewhat discussed)
If you haven't heard of these bands, then you should really concider buying or downloading some of their songs because there are some great great songs that would be good for RB.
I posted some of the videos for these bands for you to check out:

I'd like to see some PTree, most definitely. Dream Theater would be cool, as long as we don't get any of that abysmal Systematic Chaos.
Also, I want some goddamn Opeth in this game.

I'd like all of those....Liquid Tension would be hard though seeing as how there's no vocals.

Check out Agalloch (http://www.agalloch.org/)
Dude, I don't want to offend you - but that was some piss poor boring ****e I listened to on their site. =S
Coming out of Dark Metal, I would've expected something a bit more... unusual. Just my opinion though. You'd probably think the stuff I listen to is pretty worthless, but I just found it shocking and had to say so. Peace bro.

Granted I haven't heard a lot of those bands, I can say I like Rush, and I'm happy they've made it in, though I would have been happier with Spirit of Radio.

I would absolutely rock my heart out to:
Porcupine Tree
Opeth
Tool
The Mars Volta
The Dillinger Escape Plan
Rush
Dream Theater
Liquid Tension Experiment
All of these bands are great, for each of their unique reasons.
I fear that the drumming in the game might not get challenging enough. Each of these bands' drummers do some insane stuff. I know, as I'm a fairly experienced drummer. Including these bands would bring fresh drumming for people to play. While some of the drumming can't quite be replicated on the drum peripheral (the double bass being one reason,) a closeness could still be achieved. It would bring fun on the drums to a new level.
But besides the drumming aspect, it would be incredibly awesome if these bands were included, as they sound awesome, and would diversify the styles covered in this game.
