do I need to send my receipt with my broken guitar ?

I cant find the sales receipt for my Rock Band SE .... and I am stuck with a broken guitar.

when I will receive the empty box to send them my broken guitar .... do I have to send them the sales receipt with it ?

because they already stated that the 60 day issue is null at this time. they will warranty any manufactures defect till they resolve the present issues at hand.
