For Rock Band: Beatles, I am using my traditional SM57 mic + Lightsnake XLR-USB cable to sing. Throughout any song, I hear a rhythmic popping mixed in with the vocals picked up from the mic; it's almost like a metronome at 120bpm. E.g. Pop, pop, pop. This popping affects gameplay in that the vox arrow will either jump away from the pitch or will simply not register any pie increase for short spans of time. The cumulative effect is that it is more difficult than it should be to get Fab ratings on a phrase sung correctly.
This occurs only on RB: Beatles. The same mic and cable has worked wonderfully for RB and RB2 for more than a year.
.......or at least it did until the RB2 patch that came out yesterday. Now RB2's vox engine pops too! Nooo ;_;.
Oh, dearest HMX, what happened to the vox engine? I report the bug in hopes of whatever causes it gets corrected in a future patch - to both games.
