View Full Version : How much crap do I have to go through before I can play my game properly?

I know others have had worse problems than me, but I wanted to vent my frustrations.

I submitted my original guitar replacement request (broken strum) on 11/26, express. 10 days later I posted a question about the status of my order on the EA support page. No response to my online question within 5 days so I submit another question and hear back within a day with the standard party line "there have been delays, blah blah blah".

Still no change on my UPS tracking or EA online status within another 3 days so I start reading the forums some more and find out that by my submitting questions online, I've put some kind of magical hold on my RMA. I also get a friendly email telling me that "they're sure I received my replacement guitar and are rocking out, but that I need to return my old guitar or my card will be charged". Fantastic. So I call the actual number, talk so somebody, and poof I have my express delivery (3 weeks after the initial request).

I finally get it today, excitedly try it out and am impressed with the new strum...but wait, the whammy bar is completely unresponsive!! So now I'm waiting another couple days (hopefully) and have 2 $100 holds on my credit card, and no fully-functioning guitar.

Is it too much to ask to pay $170 for a game and have it work properly within a month of buying it and going through headache after headache with this backwards RMA process?

Again, sorry to rant, and I know others have had similar/worse problems but I just had to get it off my chest!

In 3 months you'll get a free copy of Madden 2002 so it's all good.
