Random Song Generator

How exactly does Rock Band randomly generate the mystery song lists because I'm really tired of having Iron Maiden's "run to the hills" , a who song, and a david bowie song always as part of the set. It never fails!

I have 50 other songs feeling very sad that they aren't being played, and they are begging for some attention.

Dude, try playing in a real cover band. Wanted Dead or Alive was ALWAYS a fan request for us, every night we played! The game is just being true to life with that one :cool:

Now granted, Sweet Home Alabama was another always-requested song, but that's not in the game...yet...Skynyrd DLC pack anyone? ;)

Just picture it, a Skynyrd Pack with Free Bird, Sweet Home, and Gimme 3 Steps.

You do a Mystery 2-song Setlist, and it comes up Free Bird, and then Green Grass. Just go ahead and strap on that icepack now...

Not sure, but when I play mystery requests, it is completely random. I don't think I've gotten any song constantly. Granted, the game is selecting from 82 songs, not 53, so there is a near a 30 song difference...

so maybe I have mor ethan 53 songs...haven't counted lately...but it's a big eye-roller everytime Bowie comes on...I almost wish I didn't donwload the pack

yeah i've noticed that i tend to get the same songs as well.. i always get the who and fall out boy for some reason.. "dead on arrival" i cant do on expert drums whatsoever so i immediately know its a fail when i see the title pop up.. i feel like its russian roulette with those random set lists.. they'll give you an empty chamber the first song then the bullet on ur next song

Creep has a tendency to pop up a decent amount. But it certaionly seems random to me.

Some are by where you are playing, others by what songs your band plays best. We were a Creep band at my buddies place, dead or alive at my place.

If you don't play the song people expect, it's like when your favorite old band comes to town and they say "and now one from our new ablum".... "crickets..."
