If anyone has the hardware to try this let me know if it works. The plug for the bass pedal looks like the standard 1/8" ear phone plug. I am wondering if using a splitter would allow you to connect two pedals for those of us that are more accustomed to playing with double bass.

Already been done. Works perfectly fine (although holding both pedals down at once and then trying to kick only one will cause problems, since holding down one pedal automatically means both are being detected as being held down).

Great idea,
I will follow this thread, hopefully someone has the stuff to pull it off. Maybe HMX will sell an extra pedal addition if so. Seems like it would work because its just like mashing a button on a controller....

just borrow your friends pedal and use a headphone splitter, it works.

Except that it's not...because of the way the pedals/splitter work, like someone said above, if you have one pedal pressed down, the other will not register. So if you were to try to play like this, you would have to be VERY cognizant of lifting up one foot before bringing down the next.
I can tell you that after playing drums for 16 years, I don't even do that. :p
It's the reason why when I'm in the studio, I prefer using 2 kick drums to record rather than 1 kick with double pedals. With double-pedals, if I leave my left foot down, any hit with my right foot will be muted.

Please use the search function. This has been detailed very well in previous threads. Happy experimenting!
