While I was waiting for the guitar, I read that people were getting E-mails about a free EA game for the inconvienance. I never recieved ANY e-mail from EA, including the E-mails I was supposed to recieve about the status of my replacements. I thought maybe it was an oversight, and I would recieve the E-mail when the time came to pick out a game.
I did not.
I sent off an E-mail to EA, through the support site. the message is as follows:
"Hello, I'm writing to ask about the free game offer from EA, with reguards to people that had to get their Rock Band guitar sent in for a replacement. I not only sent in my guitar, but my drum kit as well (the guitar didn't strum prperly, and the red pad on the drum kit didn't register at all). My RMA's were (removed for post).
When I heard about the free game offer E-mail, I checked my E-mail, and never recieved any information about the offer at all. I am hoping that I qualify for the offer, and would like to take EA up on it for the inconveince. Please let me know, and thank you for your time."
The response I received was this:
"Thanks for contacting EA Technical Support! I apologize for the inconvenience you are having with Rock Band. Unfortunately to be honest we don't have information about the free game our warranty team will be the one to send you information about this and let you know if you are eligible for the free game. I would suggest to frequently check your email regarding the information about a free game.
Should you require further assistance about this or any Electronic Arts games in the future please visit our website and review our extensive Self Help knowledgebase (http://ea.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/ea.cfg/php/enduser/std_alp.php?)
Thanks!

I'm just looking for some help, as I feel that I qualify for this offer.
Thank you,
Deric
