Hi,

I have Rock Band 2 for the Xbox 360. Our Xbox is shared amongst three housemates. My housemate originally bought RB2 DLC on his XBox Live account. However, he's now moved out. We were originally signing in to his account to play the DLC, but he's now bought his own XBox and recovered the account on there so we can't sign in as him anymore.
Last night we tried to use my Xbox Live account to play some DLC we'd previously downloaded with the OTHER account. It didn't work (the "content has become unavailable" error), so we went to the music store to buy it with MY account. However, even after that we were still getting the same error and were unable to play the song. What do I need to do to be able to play the songs without his Xbox Live account? I'm assuming that I'll have to pay to download all the songs again (even though they're still there on the hard drive), but I don't want to pay all that money and then discover they don't work anyway. What can I do to make content that I've re-downloaded with my own account work? Do I need to delete it from the HD first? Or is there a way that I can use my account to access DLC that was bought on a different account?

Sorry if this is confusing... it's a little hard to explain! :p
Thanks a lot in advance for any help :)

Deleting it from your HD is the first step. Then go into your Memory files on the Xbox and delete the Cache files that you see in the RB and RB2 folders. There should be two, a music store data file and a song data cache file. Delete those.

Then go re-purchase (or redownload if you already bought them again on your account) the songs. The next time you start up the game, it will rebuild the song data cache file with the correct license information.
