What I like about the RB forums

I like how its almost like a small community. In almost all the threads I see almost the same people, and some of the new members.Everyone is soo friendy,and the forums themselves are beautifully organized. :p lol, Theres my thoughts, I just felt like expressing that. And there nice and clean,unlike the GH forums.

true...but its another 2 or 3 montsh before the game starts going mainstream..and 4 months till it comes out...thats when these forums will go insane...we have a bit of time on our hands

I've always been the n00b in every other forum I've ever posted on (mostly because until RB came along I really didn't like forums at all) so being here is kinda weird.

It's kinda turning me into everything I always hated about forums. I'm starting to really hate n00bs and their stupid "prices confirmed on gamestop!" threads... I just gotta control the rage within and try to think back when I was that n00b... then post an image of Carl slapping his forehead. lol

Yes these forums rock at the moment. I generally browse the xbox.com forums, but never post because there's a lot of stupidity and repetitive junk. But I've actually embraced these forums, made posts, filled out my profile, even freaking wrote a BLOG - and I make fun of people that write blogs.

I opened up the GHII, GHIII, and RB forums on xbox.com tonight. Saw a bunch of the same I had already seen yesterday and then spent my night at work here instead - and I promised I would read my programming book tonight :eek:!

Everyone on here seems pretty cool and I love the fact the Harmonix reads the forums and sometimes responds - like on the thread about the drumset foot pedal. Even the 360/PS3 discussion didn't turn into a bunch of fanboyism. I hope to rock out with and against many of you this November.

just the sheer amount of people "PUT X SONG BY Y BAND IN ROCK BAND PUHLEASEEE"
will annoy the hell out of us. Lets hope the moderators actually keep up with stuff this time because the gh forums died real quick.

Yep, gh was like this for like... several months, before GH2 was being announced. Then they went downhill and i stopped posting. These ones will die when RB finally hits.

man i had like a good 750-1000 posts in my first few months there. and then after that pretty much stopped because of all the random new people being complete idiots. :rolleyes:

When gh2 for 360 it really got bad, especially the DLC thread

So then lets make sure that the true fans get their opinions and ideas out before it comes to that again. Were doing a good job so far :p I'd never been as excited for a game as for GH2. Now it's like that, tenfold, with rock band.

i really don't think i'll need another game after rock band for quite awhile. Which is a shame considering all the amazing games coming out this holiday

If guitar hero is any example, i'll be playing just the guitar alone for 3-4 months solid. Add the 3 other instruments and that's seriously a year or more replayability before I can see myself getting bored, and that's just playing solo. Every game with people would be different, and this will obviously be party game of the year.

I think one of the secrets is to isolate some of the forum sections and have a robust set of rules that are enforced. When we release I expect to have far more moderators bot h in and out of Harmonix so that it never becomes overwhelmed by internet speak, repeat threads, racist/sexist/ignorant crap, and bullying. I figure this is going to be a place I am spending at least 8 hours per day, might as well be a place I'd like to hang out in too. ;)

Good stuff... You and cinder have pretty much been on top of it since GH1 but there comes a point where you can't be on at all hours of the day supervising... So far it's an awesome community, reminds me of old gh forums, lots of ideas and i know HMX is listening.

I'll be on here a lot from now on... I work on a computer for 8 hours all day and theres nothing else to do :p so i'll be seeing you all often!

i love these forums. i used to go on the gh forums alot more, but now people just complain about everything now. this site actually have intelligent topics (for the most part). but this site ownes gh's forums. good job!

I've been checking out these forums for well over a month by now. But I didn't officially register till recently. But these forums are by far the best community I've been a part of for a while.
