Love the new site.
And geezus I wish linking my GH3 account to their community site was as easy as this. It took me like weeks to get it to work right. Here all I had to do was punch in my live id password and *poof* everything is good to go.
Nice job!

could you explain how you went about this? When I go to the rockers page it wants me to log in, but when I input my stuff it says invalid username blah blah blah...I tried registering but it says username and email already registered. The forums work just fine but I can't login to the rocker page. And I searched my name under rockers and there's already one with my name...I find it hard to believe someone would register my name. I'm confused/frustrated.

I like it, my only request would be for a mirror without the admittedly awesome but performance crushing flash animation so I can view this site from work (or while watching videos at home) without my machine seizing up. :)

I did the same thing, and when I did a Forgot Password and went to my email I found that they had taken the initiative. Every user is emailed a new password to use. You can change it later, too.

We had to reset all the passwords as part of the site migration. You should have received an email earlier today (check your spam filter if you didn't see it) with your new password. If you can't find the email, just use the lost password tool (http://www.rockband.com/user/password?destination=rockers_home) to generate a new password.

The site seems to be getting hit hard (took me a dozen or so tries to get it to load)
Everything seems hunky dory so far, though.

I didn't want to make a new post for this, but I was wondering...
I noticed when I input my Website Code that it included every character and band I've ever made. Is there a way to delete them, or are they stuck there? My stepdaughter made a bunch of characters and she insisted on having a band with me for each new character, so I have quite a few on there that I've already taken the liberty of deleting on the game, so I was flabergasted to see them appear on my Profile page.

Is it possible to link to a direct page to the leaderboards on the community site? For example, let's say I want to show someone page 20 of the Creep leaderboards for Guitar solo career for Xbox 360. I was hoping that the URL for each page would be unique and I'd just be able to copy and paste, but there doesn't appear to be an easy way to do this as far as I can tell.

I like it too. Nice and simple and the site looks pretty but it wouldn't let me log-in using the Opera web browser, not sure why!

Seconded!! I hope this is just a bug they'll be addressing... even characters I long since deleted are showing up. My obsessive-compulsive side doesn't wanna see two versions of my main band, one with no songs played, one with a bunch...
Other than that: Yay site!

Haha, don't you hate that obsessive-compulsive nature? Part of you wants to just leave it be, but the other knows it has to be perfect or it'll be nagging at you forever...

i love the new site.. looks real awesome!
a quick question for anybody who knows - is there a way to hide bands or character profiles on ur bio? alot of my friends who come over make up their characters on my account, since its the default account, but i just want to list MY character and hide all the other characters and all the "side bands" we make

All I can say is "wow." The people at Harmonix have really been on the ball with everything since Rock Band's release. My hardware issues have been taken care of (although I am keeping my eye on the replacement bass pedal), the weekly DLC has been great, and now the online experience has been taken a step further.
I love the sense of community that these forums bring to the game and, for once, I feel like the makers really care about the community as well.
Take some time off for the holidays, Harmonix. You really deserve it. :)

What I really like is that you can even add HMX members and converse with them. I'm not going to go and add everyone like some giddy fangirl, but there are a few I'll add as friends.

I'll add my voice to the "love the new site" movement :) I had some trouble initially getting the site up but I blame that more on this out dated laptop chugged its way thru the flash animations. Once i got past all that it has been sweet so far.
I can't wait to get this game so I can try out all of the game linking features on here. And play the game of course :)
Kudos HMX!! As others have said you all deserve a well rested holiday season.

Wow.. really guys? I must be missing something from the new site, and this isn't a complaint just for the sake of complaining either but I can't believe what we have here now, 1) wasn't ready for launch, and 2) even if they started working on it on the 20th, took a month to launch.
I wasn't really expecting a glorified blog for my characters and band. I was expecting a whole lot more. Maybe it is and I've missed some announcement thread about it but...
I was expecting:
- Ability to view a summarized list of my Gamertags' leaderboard scores and position as well as (out of #### players)
- many more stats about gameplay.. like each characters most consistent songs, or favorite songs...least played songs.... even a timeline chart showing your relative leaderboard positioning for the week or month or whatever... As it is, the GH3 site does a lot of this stuff already. heck even combined scoreboards so you can compare yourself across consoles (I assume the scoring is exactly the same).
- Ability to view my bands and characters in their current (last played) form, even create or download some of those loading band-art screens for like your desktop or something. (Why does the game contact the central server every time you go shopping?)
The ability to be one of 50,000 (or whatever) people with a RockBand.com blog no one else cares about doesn't really pull my chain.
Anyhow yeah, the new graphics are nice but I was expecting to be wowed. Thought maybe some of what Alex was talking about (ordering your own band merchandise) might even come on-line this soon. But if I can't even view my characters...
Dang.. it's a step in the right direction.. but dang.

Presumably to update how much money your characters have.
The ability to be one of 50,000 (or whatever) people with a RockBand.com blog no one else cares about doesn't really pull my chain.
I care.
Seriously, I intend to blog like mine's a real band, and I'm going to read other people's blogs too.
This is a community website full of fictional bands created by Rock Band owners across the globe. It really sounds like you don't belong.

*shrug*
Must be a children vs adults thing.
I have no doubts the HMX online team worked hard on this but this is like reinventing the wheel here. Facebook, MySpace, Blogspot, etc all already exist, as do the in-game leaderboards. Throw a link in your sig to your blog and it's a done deal. Most of this site existed before the launch of the game. What's new here? Graphics and online access to the same annoying-to-navigate leaderboard info from the game. *twirl*
And I'm not just complaining, I provided a number of very constructive ideas. Heck even Score Hero has a feature no one does here and that's the ranking sig's. I'm sorry, I just don't see anything here to be excited for or to have waited on. I had high hopes.
I understand social networking is the new Web 2.0 (*gag*) but for such an innovative game company, this is a lemming move.
At least the game is fun.
