Is EA/HMX planning on making any improvments to the current bass pedal?
i have been playin around with the current one at first it felt quite strong but after a while seems to bend under pressure, im almost afraid to keep playing until i install some kind of reinforcment, but i dont want to do that because it will void the warrenty.
EA/HMX: you created an amazing product please dont let a plastic bass pedal be a problem

dunno but i have plans of making my own with a real bass pedal. I would take that over any plastic pedal EA comes up with,

well i have seen mods for use with an actual bass pedal
if you can come up with a good setup-reliable-at a good cost(under 30$ im sure i can pruchase it) if not then i may have to wait till HMX releases a good one or i can find one

Well considering the cheapest bass pedal is about $50, I don't know about charging $30 lol.

well i dont think anyone is gonna spend more then 30-40 on the fact that it just does one thing.
but i dont think it would be hard for harmonix to add some good reinforcment to the current pedal
i have allready designed some ideas that would make the current pedal a load more stable then it allready is

yeah there's multiple threads on the forum talking about custom mods to the bass pedals.. it woudnt be a bad idea to look into.. besides.. forget the warranty.. if u can make a quality bass pedal urself why would u need a new plastic one anyways?
i actually saw a thread where one guy taped legos to his bass pedal, and another who taped 4 number two pencils haha.. brilliant!

Me too! My current pedal (which is cracked by the spring btw) has two pieces of extremely durable plastic (think lego, but smoother) taped extensively as a stint. Feels a bit funky, but the pedal's not gonna break completely anytime soon i suppose. As soon as i get my real bass pedal built, I'm going to remove the plastic and send the cracked pedal in. When I get my replacement, I probably won't use it much but it'll be there. :D
Edit: lol i just read your post on legos. haha.

Two things...
1. I talked to a lady from Customer Support. She said that they know that there is a problem and that they will accept all peddles that are broke. She said that I am feel to make ANY modifications until my new peddle arrives. I asked if this included drilling holes to secure something to the peddle and she said that it will not void the warrenty. That is what I was told at least.
2. Duct tape and a thin 1/2" -3/4" piece of wood works REALLY well. It is cheap, works and doesn't require anything that will leave marks on the peddle. It isn't pretty, but how many "pretty" rockers are there out there. Gives a garage band feel to it.

On ebay there's a guy selling re-enforcements that don't void the warranty, I believe through double-sided industrial tape

Tip: when speaking to a CS rep., get his/her name. Now it sounds like EA is being cool with all this, but when dealing with a promise made by any CSR, it's almost always treated as hearsay, unless you get a name. (because you rarely speak to the same CSR twice)
Some sort of case, or reference # will cover your butt, as well.

i would have gotten the reps name, if someone told me that i could drill holes into my pedal before sending back
i dont think i would do it-sounds a little iffy to me

i have seen this and i am goin to invest in this
if you have ever heard of command strips i believe thats the best way to go with that
but the person who designed and cut those did a good job
