As some of you may know, The Mountain Goats are going on Colbert tonight.

I was just checking out the Colbert website, and found out that the new album is up for streaming:

Whoa... I hope this becomes a new trend. First the Flaming Lips, and now the Mountain Goats. I wonder what the next album to be "leaked" through his website will be.

Wasn't the leak pretty low-quality? And yes, the album was released today.

On the Colbert website the quality is really good.

320 is the best in iTunes, but there are much higher bit rates. Streaming doesn't mean for download either.

Is that a challenge? :p

Yeah, and he looks somewhat similar to Colbert too.

i just watched the episode (now available on the link in the OP), and it was really strange seeing john up there...

it was cool, but i was a bit bummed that they played one of my least favorites from the new album.

Well, I think they chose a song that really involved all three of them.

You should take a look at the link I posted. I thought it was really cool that Colbert seemed more nervous about the whole thing.

This is but one of the many reasons why Stephen Colbert should run for president.

Shouldn't you be speaking in past tense? :p

He actually ran for president? I thought that was a joke.

It was at first, but he used it as a vehicle for raising funds for charity. In a way, he was dead serious. He also got some people more aware of the election.

The entire band was in high gear last night, great performance.
