Can you download new songs on the wii. Like you can for the xbox 360?
If so how is this done?

You can do it, I dont have a Wii but I will assume you buy Wii points and then get them from the Wii store (?)

For the Wii, you can buy songs for RB2 and Beatles:RB. You need Wii points (available in stores or through the Wii Shop channel). I believe that you purchase songs from the in-game music store, just like on the X360 or PS3. If not, then you will find the content on the Wii Shop channel.

I will defo be giving this a try - i did however try and hook up on the net last night and couldn't find a port for the internet cable to fit into the wii box?

The Wii, like the PS3, is native wireless. You can connect it via a wireless router or access point. Alternatively, you can buy an ethernet adapter that plugs into your Wii via USB that will allow for a wired connection.
