Okay, so I took my 360 hard drive to a friends and purchased a pack and a single. I simply signed into my Live account by his house; I didn't have the game with me. Anyways, back at my house on my 360, I can see the songs in my Rock Band folder on my hard drive.

So, where in the game should the songs show up??? I've been playing solo tour on medium (think my guitar is starting to flake) and am almsot done with it. I have yet to see any acknowledgment of the downloaded content in the actual game.

In solo tour, there should be a seperate playlist all the way at the bottom past the Bonus Tour where you can play the DLC. It will not show up in the main setlists. You could also simply go into quick play and play it there.

Thanks for the reply. I guess I'll have to try redownloading them then because it screwed up.

Here's how it works on the XBox 360.

To use DLC, any DLC (Rock Band or other games), you have to either be on the actual, original XBox to which it was downloaded (not the original hard drive, the original console), or be logged into XBox Live with the gamertag that was used to do the download.

This is how Microsoft set it up. Game developers do not have the option to make things work differently.

So if you downloaded it on a friend's XBox, you will never be able to use it on your own XBox unless you are logged into XBox Live when you try to use it. If you do not have a broadband connection at home... you're unfortunately screwed.

If you do have a broadband connection at home, plug your XBox into it and log in and all the content should "magically appear" within the game.

(Next time, bring the whole XBox with you.)

OK. Dumb question time.

I have downloaded some songs and they work fine.

I moved my profile and copied the DLC to my Xbox Memory Card and took it over to my brother's house. I was able to log in with my Gamertag BUT I could not access the DLC. HOWEVER, my brother was not on the net. Is that why it didn't work? It's not just that I'm signed into the Xbox with my Gamertag (the one the DLC was purchased with) but I ALSO must be ONLINE with my Gamertag???

Thanks in advance for any help with this newb question!

That is correct. If you're not on the network, you may be signed into your gamertag locally, but you're not signed into XBox Live at all. So none of the DLC will work. On any machine other than the original one to which it was downloaded, you need a live net connection to even attempt it.
