Amendments in icky lime green.
Please, people, spare me the agony of trying to stumble across new friends during random quickplay sessions. I've met a few that way, but I had to deal with a lot of shmuckery to do so. You know how it goes.
At this point, I'm only interested in DLC-heavy quickplay sessions. Even though I went through tour mode alone, I've had enough of it for now.
I play everything except drums. Most of the time, I don't have a preference for guitar or bass. I'm willing to play bass most of the time, but I don't want to play it ALL the time. I'm more likely to play on vocals these days since vocalists are a lot harder to find than guitarists.
On guitar/bass, I play expert for all but a few exceptionally difficult songs. On vocals, I'm kind of all over the place; I can handle almost anything on hard and I can at least get through most songs on expert without embarrassing myself much, although I'm not a gold star level vocalist. There are a few songs at which I totally suck and I have to go to medium, but that's a small group. AMENDMENT: I can now handle pretty much any song on expert vocals and I can gold-star a fair number of them.
DLC: All the free stuff, everything from Iron Maiden, Rush, Boston, The Police, Judas Priest, The Clash, Pixies, The Cars, and some other stuff; 270 downloaded songs, total. (Note: No Disturbed. Can't stand 'em.) Also, I have the RB1 and Lego songs imported, and I don't mind playing a few RB2 disc songs as long as they're mixed in with DLC.
Favorite songs to sing: I Predict a Riot, Sorrow, Stop!, Wasted Years, Joker & the Thief, Weapon of Choice, 21st Century Digital Boy, Fear of the Dark, Sundial, Walk Like an Egyptian, Miss Murder, Tick Tick Boom.
Behavior: I do NOT:
- insult people for lackluster performance
- disconnect during songs
- commit to a group and then leave after ten minutes
- throw a fit when someone picks something I don't like (I've never actually seen anybody pick a Beastie Boys song)
- refuse to play with people who don't pick expert all the time
I DO, however, pick Cool for Cats sometimes. You've been warned.
Golden rule: There is no substitute for a good 4-player band. Whenever possible, I try to invite three people or join three people, and I am perfectly willing to wait several minutes to make it happen.
