TB:RB Hofner mic port problem (360)

Hello everyone,
I bought the beatles rock band on the day of release and have not use a 360 mic with the Hofner at all but when I came to use it today I noticed that the port (on the bottom next to the sync button) is a size to big, my iPod headphones fit in but my 360 mic is to small, was I supposed to get an adapter like with Rock Band 1? Am I putting it in the right port? or should I just get a wireless mic? please help I love the hofner and I'm having to use my friends Strat to chat with people. :(

There are two ports on the XBox360 versions of our guitar peripherals. The port by the Sync button is for inserting a pedal to initiate overdrive. The Headset jack is located on the opposite side ("top" of the guitar), hear the location where your right hand goes over the body.
