..re-release all of the songs from GH1 and 2, except have them be the Original masters... (and include drums and vocal play, obviously...)
that'd rock :D

I think that would be a waste of time. I don't need to play all those songs again. Actually I don't want to play all those song again. I didn't even like the GH2 songlist very much.

So I hope for better songs for DLC.

Well, I loved the set list for both games but what I do agree with you is that I really don't want to go through all those songs again just to play different instruments. I guess it would be cool but I'd rather see more time and effort put into all new songs than old stuff.

i'd rather them do both...
they said they're planning on releasing new content each week, so they could release an old track and a new track for a while each week... or maybe two new and one old... depending on how many tracks they're planning on releasing each week...

Crossroads would be worth it for the drums, but that's really the only one I can think of where the instruments are good enough to deserve a spot on Rock Band.

Especially since I don't need a mike to sing along badly.

Now, I really do not like Rush. But with everyone crapping themselves over the drums in Tom Sawyer it seems that someone would want to play the drum part in YYZ.

Good Drum parts, definitely, but there probably won't be many instrumentals in Rock Band. Because, you know, the vocalist.

yeah, i can see that for songs on the disc... but if harmonix wants to make the download area like the iTunes of ryhtem games like they said they were aiming for, they'll need instrumentals as well...

That'd be a good idea, I think. (re-releasing all GH songs) So I could sing all the badly covered songs the way they were meant to sound: Good. Damn you horrible singer of Heart Shaped Box!! I hate you!! "... Trapped inside yorrr harrrrt shaped box..." And put Pitstop Pete in his place for the horrid vocals in Laid to Rest. I beg for all those songs to be re-released!!

I don't want all the songs from GH I and II, but a lot of those songs are classics and really good, I wouldn't mind seeing them show up as DLC eventually.

I would want them to rerelease them for Rock Band (As masters). Some songs were covered horribly singing wise.
