So, your Strat dies, and you go online to see what's up. Sure enough, EA is replacing defective instruments, or so says "the Pink Sheet". So you order a new one. .
I'm sure this was the case for you guys.
A week or two passes, and there's no signs of [i]any activity on your shipment. You receive an e-mail, explaining the situation, and suggesting EA makes it up to you with a free game. Details will come later.
I'm sure, this too, was the case for you guys.
A week or less later, however, a certain package arrives in the mail. Upon lifting [and eventually opening], it was obvious they mailed me a new Strat without me having to mail in my old one, or pay the $20 fee/whatever. I was personally rather giddy about this -- more-so when I plugged the Strat in and had it work flawlessly. So I packed up my busted Strat, and followed the package's instructions in mailing it back.
I believe this may have happened with a select few of us who requested new instruments.
Another week goes by, and I receive an e-mail to select a free game, courtesy of EA. [Awesome]. I know a handful of you have done this.
Here's the kicker. In the same day that I select my free game, another "guitar sized" package arrives at my door-step. I open it up and find, to my surprise, that someone had sent me another new Strat.
I believe this may have occurred among a very select few, if anyone else at all.
So, as it stands, because my Rock Band's original Strat fell victim of a busted strum-bar [or whatever the strum issue/sensor was], I stand now with a free retail game, and 02 new Stratocaster guitars.
Has anyone else experienced something similar to this?
Just wondering.
