I'm trying to link my PS3 with this site and I'm having some issues. I know for sure that I am using the correct playstation network name. I wrote down the game code and also wrote it down with variations in case a O was a 0 or a g was a 9, but I can't get it to work. I'm not at home right now and my playstation isn't turned on. Does it need to be on and connected when I try to link accounts or is it something else?

are you freaking kidding me that this has been an issue since November and no one has even bothered to let us PS3 users know what the heck is up??

I had no problem's, either. Although, I did have my PS3 on with Rock Band running with the Activation code on the screen at the time I registered.

I have the PS3 open to the webcode page on RockBand while I try to sign up as well....the code is a really good one for being legible. No O's or anything that could be mistaken for another character. It's weird because I have my ID linked to EA's Pro Street and that was no problem whatsoever yet this has been a complete nightmare. Maybe I'll just import my guitars to Pro Street and play on the hood of my GT like in the opening scenes of Rock Band... ;)

I think the reason this is all getting to me so much is because I had held EA in really high esteem for years and now I'm feeling a bit let down by their seeming inattention to the PS3 community with this title.

I've tried many different way having the PS3 off and on and the rock band running and I'm pretty sure all the info is correct and it still doesn't let me link account...

You guys try calling tech support? Maybe there's something else at work here that none of us are aware of? I know I and a few others had no problem linking our PS3 accounts so either this is a problem on your end or it's a problem that just recently developed.

Mine is an interesting case.

I had set up my PSN account on my friends PS3 before I even had a PS3. We played RB a bit and then he took his PS3 back home. I then got my PS3 and RB and signed in to PSN using the account I had setup while using his PS3.

Now, I was able to link my account to the site just fine. The issue is, all I can see in my account is the stuff we made with his PS3. I see the bands we made and the characters we made, but I do not see the characters or bands that have been made since getting my own PS3 and RB. I used the website code from my copy of RB on my PS3, logged into the only PSN account I have. What on earth would be causing that?

I have the same problem, I can't link my account to the website and the letters and numbers are clear. I've tried different setup changing O to 0 and 9 to g but no luck. That's a really bad bug since this game is pretty much an online band experience and the game is not cheap.

I have the same problem as well. I have a U/V mixup and what looks like a B/8 mixup. It's seriously confusing me and no matter how I mix it up it won't go through.

I'm having the same problem. Anyone had any response from tech support?

Well I haven't succeeded in linking either, but I can give some advice about the code.

I have a 'U' in my code. I can tell because the 'U' has a tail, very clearly seen. I have no 'V' but I imagine it would have no tail. So tail = 'U'.

Also from what I have seen on the forum, numbers are the digits that appear to be lower that the letters. Eight and Zero and Five would be lower than letters "B" or "O" or "S".

That said, I have not been successful. All news on the forum seems to indicate they are aware of the problem, but at the same time I have seen posts from moderators given the same advice I just gave you, so there are mixed messages coming through.

If you look at all of my posts, you can see all of the threads on this issue, I have posted mostly only about this topic.

Also a lot of people sat they have registered successfully. I ask that anyone who has successfully linked a PS3 account since February let us know so we might ask some questions?

Mainly, did you use Uppercase letters for your PSN username? Uppercase for your RB Weblink code? When you registered your Rockband.com account, did you have any trouble at all? After registering I had a timeout after submitting my initial information.

I also can't seem to get linked. I am positive I entered the correct information and the error message says I entered something incorrect.

Some helpful info would be nice for us that can't get linked.........

I am also having this same issue I think I even made a thread about it a couple weeks ago.

I get the "One or both are wrong" error

I have tried every variant of the code I could come up with and used letters for the upper case characters in the code and numbers for the lower case characters in the code and nothing works.

Well, on the one hand it is comforting to know I'm not the only one with this problem. On the other hand it's quite frustrating to know that so many people have this same problem and there hasn't been any kind of fix. Or maybe I'm just an idiot. One seems just as likely as the other :p

I just realized something... I thought my website code began with Bs, but by looking at the Rock Band font in my Rocker Bio Quote section, I can plainly see it's an 8 (I used that area as a template to see how letters would turn out). Now, in my website code, since it's a number, it should be shifted down, but it's not. It's the same size and on the same alignment as the capital letters following it. Is this a buggy code or are all 8s this way?

I guess I should just get in line here. Does not work for me either. Sent off to tech support nearly a month ago. No response.

I called Tech Support about this today. Got some guy named "Daniel" from EA tech support however from his accent I'm sure his real name is Patishywz Ali somethingsomething and most likely lives in India. Real condinsending and insisted on talking over me.

Anyhow, he told me to make a second Playstation Network account. When you do this it's supposed to change the code you get in the game. I haven't been home to check to see if this works yet but try that and see if you can tie it to your original PS network account.

I'll post to see if this works when i get home, less someone beats me to it.
