You can't link your account with Mozilla's Firefox browser at the moment. I switched over to Internet Explorer and it linked instantly. I hope this helps some people.

How the F@#$ are you linking your account?!? I feel like the biggest n00b not being able to do this...............

Unless I'm already linked up and that's why I'm able to post in the forums.... But what about on the community homepage? Where it has the field to login to the "Rockers" section  Do I just need to make a separate account for that?

n00b!

Your username to that section should be the same as your forum login. But your password should have been emailed to you. Check your junk emails. You'll see the link part after you log on to the main portal.

Who's idea was it to use port 8000 for XBL account linking? A lot of corporate firewalls are locked down and don't allow that port. I can't link until I get home tonight.

My Firefox is working for the most part. I had to disable the top Flash because it was stalling my browser but I have another issue with my account ...

It made me molt. Now there's two Huskie accounts here where I only created the one in April. I can't get to that first one. It will only log me into this second one, probably created during the site upgrade. :(

Sean/John,
I can't notify you either about it. PMs are off for me and I don't know if emails have been fixed on this new community.

Is the problem that whenever you try to access the Windows Live ID sign in page you get redirected back to Rockers Home with an error message?

If so, clearing your cookies before attempting to link to the game again may solve this problem. Doing this will log you out of your account, so you will need to take the following steps in order to link:

1. Clear your cookies
2. Log in to your Rocker Profile
3. Link to the game by signing into your Windows Live ID

You will need to do this anytime that you enter a valid Windows Live ID but do not successfully link to a Gamertag.
There are three conditions that can cause this to happen.

- The Windows Live ID entered is already linked to a Rocker Profile
- The Windows Live ID entered is not associated with a Gamertag
- The Windows Live ID entered is associated with a Gamertag that has no Rock Band save data

Whenever any of the above three conditions are met, you will be redirected to the Rockers Home page with a corresponding error message. If this occurs, follow the three steps outlined earlier in this post.

It's possible the reason that switching to IE from Firefox worked for you was that the cookie(s) preventing you from linking only existed in Firefox, not in IE. So, switching to IE was essentially the same as clearing your cookies.

note: This issue is exclusive to Xbox account linking. You should not have to clear your cookies at any point in order to link to a PlayStation Network ID.

I have a question for people that are experiencing this:

Good Luck,

Aaron
