Ok, what the heck. You guys said you wouldn't launch to new site until it was ready. Well, it's launched and it's definitely not ready. You should put it back in the oven.

1) No e-mails. I have not received a single e-mail from this site. Not when it launched and not when I did the Lost Password thing 10 times.

2) Firefox. This site doesn't work in Firefox at all. In Firefox I can log in to the main page, but when I go to the forums I'm logged out.

This is pretty crappy. I can't get in to my old account. I'm stuck with this throw away account on a browser I hate and every 5th page errors out. I sent an e-mail to support about the lack of e-mails, haven't gotten anything back.

You guys need to stop saying stupid things. You make yourselves look like idiots. When you say you won't release it "until it's ready" and then I launches broken you look like a baffoon.

I have to agree with this. I clicked the forgot password part as well and still haven't seen the email.

This is not entirely true. I'm using Firefox right now and I can get things to load although it does seem to take forever and I occasionally get a "504 - Gateway timed out" error

I'd say my biggest complaints are the following:

1) loading the various places of the site are too slow

2) trying to reset my junk password emailed to me to something I can remember is a pain since my profile option is only accessible from the rockers page that doesn't always load. Then when I get it to load and get to the form to fill out the change, I don't know if the change took since I get a 504 error again after clicking save changes.

I have noticed that the new site is slower, and I often get 504 errors. It will probably take a few days to work out all the problems (this is a very high traffic site).

However, I have had no trouble using Firefox. And I have received emails.

You probably can't get into your old account because the passwords were reset. I was given a new password in my email.

Try checking you junk email folder for the "Lost Password" emails. Also, make sure you've updated to the latest version of Firefox (2.0.0.11).

Hope this helps.

P.S. I think the new site will be awesome once the problems are worked out.

Seems like bad luck on your part, I got my emails just fine, linked just fine...WITH firefox at that....been using the site with firefox, and the only problem I have had is some sort of 500 error every now and then.

Be polite, and the site might work for you.

I run Firefox and have do not have the same problems you are having. However I am getting VERY slow access times resulting in numerous time outs. I also can not access my profile to change information.

There are more constructive ways to critique something and better ways to complain about something. Saying people look like idiots and "baffoons" instantly discounts what you are trying to convey. It also doesn't help your cause when you spell buffoon wrong.

I'm sure that's it, the server doesn't like my attitude.

Honestly, I'm not saying they ARE idiots. I'm just saying that the whole build up to this makes the final product look really bad. It's a poor PR move and they would be wise to move on it quickly. Sorry if I offended anybody, but it's really annoying to be told they won't release unfinished things, then come on here to talk and find that I can't access my account and any attempts to resolve that disappear into the ether.

Also, I have checked my junk mail. It's not in my junk mail, not in my inbox, it's not there.

First of all putting up a website of this magnitude, on the fly, and migrating data from the old site without losing accounts or forum posts from the last 8 or so months ensures that there will be Day 1 problems. We are very aware of the slowness, of the 504 errors, and of some of the other smaller bugs that are going on and are working to fix them.

As for you not getting emails - first make sure to check your junk mail filter. A lot of emails will end up in that folder. As for you being logged out in the forums - I would clear your cache and cookies and then try logging in again. That takes care of loads of problems.

Thank you for your patience while we get this live and running.

Sean, I've checked all of that for the e-mails. I have a letter into support, maybe they can help. I'm using Gmail. I search both the Inbox and the spam box for anything containing "Rock Band", "rockband" or "Harmonix" and got nothing.

Sean,

Somehow I've molted and have another Huskie account.

I happened during the migration and some script must have created a new account for me hence the registered date on my post showing December. I've received three (3) emails when the site was being converted yesterday, each having a different password.
So logically, I used the last email's password because it mentioned to disregard the previous ones. I was able to log in but noticed my account was messed up.

I know how difficult these things are, are develop this type of software for a living. The problem is that when you say that it won't be launched until it's 100% ready, you make a large mistake. Unless you were to have a 10-15 person internal QA team running through this thing, there is no way to have it 100% before launching to the public. It's especially bad when there are multiple, major league bugs. This probably should have been launched as a BETA.

I also have not recieved any email with a new password for my real account (RockawayRob). I've checked all of my incoming mail folders (spam included) and it's nowhere to be found. Additionally, when I set up this account I used my own personal mail server and have still yet to recieve any emails for this account and I tried using the lost password form with this account too.

I've sent an email into support with my original username and the email address I used on the account so hopefully someone there can help me out.

I have yet to receive any e-mail on my "lost password" for my original account (dxduece) as well. Looked everywhere...:confused:

I don't understand why my password wouldn't work all of a sudden. Then I don't even get a single e-mail regarding it. What's going on??

I too can not get into my original account I made when I joined. I had to make a new email to register again just to link my game. I HAVE NOT recieved any email about a lost password. I have clicked lost password and put the original email in and it sent info sent to email, well ive done that 100000000 times and still havent recieved an email. Not a good start for Rock Band with all the guitar problems and other problems. Will anything work right??

When I signed up back in August, I never got a confirmation email, but I was able to log-in and post, just not edit my profile, get PM's, or any of that fancier stuff.

Since the re-launch, I can't remember my password, though I only use one of four passwords for every account I have on every website. I tried all 4, all four failed, so I was stuck creating this new name.

Oh well.

i too use Firefox (v2.0.0.11) and have experienced the same issues of slow loading times (particularly for the forums), and also just when i logged in 5 minutes ago 'my profile' was of a whole other name (welcome some other dude, where 'some other dude' was not me), tho when I clicked My Profile it correctly identified me-- not sure what that was all about. (and yes, i changed the default password, first thing i did when i came in earlier today). Anyways, aside from those ...minor annoyances, the site looks pretty promising and I can't wait to see it once all the bubbles have been wrinkled out-- i hope for one that the site may be able to retrieve the character models from in game if thats possible, as my character image is apt to change through the times-- but i suppose thats outside the scope of this thread :) (sorry)..

anyways, mostly good job on the new site, but get workin on those fixes eh? :>

I managed to link my account, but it doesn't update my rockers from ingame. Is this a manual update or is the site just not doing its automatic updates right?

I'm having issues as well. I never got a confirmation email, nor have I gotten a reply to requests for lost password. I've double- and triple-checked my spam folders as well. I use a yahoo account. not sure if that's something the rest of us have in common or not. I'd REALLY hate to lose my old username, as it's the name I use everywhere. it would be great to see this issue resolved soon.

thanks!

ps, my old username is: Reedus

Yea, i can't get my account linked either. I dunno what the deal is because i've followed the directions to a T, but i still cannot get it to link to my 360 gamertag. Makes no sense at all...

I haven't received any e-mails at all from the site either, including the original new password e-mail.

I use gmail, and have checked everywhere they could have ended up.

We're tracking a good deal of these issues now - our web team has basically worked 48 hours straight and are still plugging holes.

In the mean time

http://www.rockband.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16928

Should handle a few questions. We hope to have the lost password email back up and running today. In the mean time it doesn't actually do anything.
