I got my replacement guitar in the mail last night and excitedly hooked it up. I tried playing guitar & bass with a friend (the old guitar is still usable - barely) and we were rockin' out for 45 minutes and then wham - the new guitar disconnects from the wireless dongle. I couldn't get it to reconnect for the life of me (pushing the white button, the ps button, the button on the dongle). However, I figured out that if I turned off the other guitar, this guitar would connect to the other guitar's dongle. So it looks like it's an issue with the dongle I got with the new guitar. Later on both reconnected.
I am living in a semi-urban area with plenty of wifi networks around plus cell phones etc. Could that be causing interference?
I noticed the dongle for the new guitar is different than the old guitar - it has the Rock Band logo embossed on it, with no screen printing, whereas the old one looks like it's just a sticker on the little box.
Anyway, has anyone else had this problem? Are there solutions? Would be it ok to return the new dongle with the old guitar, since the new dongle seems to be flakey?

That would be fine, as long as they receive a dongle, it doesnt matter.
They'll probably repackage it and send it to someone else. I am starting to write notes and place them in the box so they know what is wrong.
I am having strumming and guitar tilting/overdrive problems.

While I appreciate your response, I'd really rather hear from someone who has EA or HMX in their name.
