I was wondering what the 5 gold stars mean compared to 5 white stars. I would of thought it was for 100% a song but I have gold stars on maps, mississippi queen, here it goes again for all 100% but I 100% I think im Paranoid but i don't have gold ones....

Probably an easy answer but it would be much appreciated.

5 gold stars are given for exceptional scores on expert difficulty. You can still get them without 100%'ing a song if you use energy at the right times and get a very high score.

Maybe it has to do with what difficulty you finsihed it on?

I wish there was some written guide to explain all the scoring.

5-gold-stars question has been answered about infinity plus one times on these forums. It's in the stickies. You can't do a search and not find the answer.

Yes, it's been answered a million times. But not everyone got the game on release date, and the search here works for sh*t. If you're going to spend time posting, just tell the guy the answer, which you must know since you've read it a million times already.

It's score based, not percentage (as in 100%) based. You can achieve gold without playing perfect if you use overdrive efficiently. There are places you can find the minimum score required to gold star nearly everything with each instrument. Don't know where off hand, but a "search" might turn something up.;)

I'm not interested in the Gold Stars, I just wanna know how to figure out what scores u need to get to get the lesser stars.
