I have heard that the X-Box 360 has had the same problem where Rock Band guitars would not work with Guitar Hero games. I only figured that since the Beatles Rock Band game was such a major release, these guitars would work with Guitar Hero games. Being a bit older, this Beatles project got me into this genre of gaming. The Beatles guitars are much nicer than the toy-like guitars for other games. Will they do the same thing they did for the X-Box and release a patch where the Beatles guitars will work with Guitar Hero games? I was extremely disappointed when they didn't work and I don't need 4 guitars sitting around my house. Thanks.

Wii games cannot be patched.
However, Guitar Hero 5 works to an extent with controllers from Rock Band games.

(And the RB guitars have worked out of the box with GH games on 360 since World Tour)

Its Activision who would need to release such a patch and I doubt they will. I don't think any Wii game has ever been patched as the Wii doesn't have the hardware necessary (mainly memory) to update games.
I think GH5 has support for RockBand Guitars and drums though but don't quote me on that.

The Conduit got patched in a update, Wii Sports Resort got patched too... Why not GH5?... maybe actvition or harmonix would release a patch.

Wii Sports Resort's bug had to do with the system software and is a first party Ninty game anyway.

What was it that the Conduit had patched? The main problem with it is that the game's guitar recognition has to be completely overridden to get the RB guitars to work. As the game's disc cannot be changed we have to use the HDD on Xbox and 360 but I don't think the Wii is capable of this.

The software for Beatles Rock Band was written by (or at least released) by Electronic Arts. Electronic Arts should be responsible enough to see that this program has been selling (from the stats I have heard) mostly on the Wii over the 360 and PS3. Since the Wii can receive system updates, there is no reason as to why there could not be a patch released to allow The Beatles Guitars to work with Guitar Hero games. I should know, I am a seasoned programmer.

From everything I've heard, it's completely possible, but against nintendo's policy.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Harmonix developed the game code, art etc. EA are the distributors (responsible for the game being produced and sent out worldwide) You say Harmonix have a responsibility to do this but frankly they don't. And besides that you are not asking for a patch to a Harmonix game, you are asking for a patch for an Activision game i.e. Guitar Hero. The latest Rock band releases on Wii support GH controllers so go bug Activision to see if they can patch World Tour for you. Although this would require a LOT of data as you would have to put in all new note tracks for drums along with new neck graphics for drums and some code to differentiate between them. The Wii just doesn't have anough storage space.

In all seriousness, what you're asking for is FAAARRR more complicated than you think AND on the wrong developer's forums.

The reason is this:

Nintendo does not allow individual patches for games.

Also, the Beatles guitars working with GH games has NOTHING AT ALL to do with EA, or Harmonix.

Neversoft, the creators of GH, need to make coding for their games to make them compatible. AKA, complain to GH developers, not RB ones.

Really? Is that so?
