I am saving up for the Xbox 360 Elite Holiday 2009 Bundle.

Even though I have a Wii with The Beatles Rock Band on it, should I get the game for the Xbox 360 and that 40.00 portable drumset and some cheap mic, since it is my favorite game of all time?

Just wondering what your guys opinions were.

And PS. I am a first time buyer of the Xbox 360, so any buying/setup tips are welcome.

:)

Thanks and have a fun rest of October.

Given that the instruments are your interface/control over the game, I don't recommend going cheap on them. If that's what you would have to do to play it on the 360, I'd pass even though it's the superior software version.

You might as well just sell your TBRB Wii and instruments, and work something out on 360. You probably should of thought of getting one before.

I know. Poor planning on my part, but good idea.

And why Carlton? (Dont remeber his real name)

I'm a Wii-only Beatles player, and I say, yes, if it's truly your all time favorite game and you're buying a 360, go get the 360 version and enjoy the souped-up graphics. Don't sell your Wii version to Gamestop, though: They won't give you anything near what it's worth. See if you can sell it to a friend or family member, or keep it as a back up version should the 360 ever need repairs.

Have fun!

Our Xbox 360 just crapped out over the weekend, right past its warranty period. Sucks so bad.

For the same price you can get the new PS3 Slim, which should be much less prone to sudden death.

Thanks guys for the advice. Im still not sure what do do though. Im all wiped out of money from buying The Beatles Rock Band so that will take some time too.

If you have the special Beatles instruments, try selling them on E-Bay so you can buy the 360 instruments of your choice. I'm sure there are many people looking to buy the Hofner Bass alone. :)

After playing with the Ion drum set, I find it actively frustrating to play with any other drums on the 360.

If you dont have to have the Beatles LE, you can look for the RockBand 2 SE for the Xbox and get the Beatles (game only).

As a Wii owner, I agree with the above quoted suggestion, too.

If I didn't have a BD player already, I would have grabbed a PS3 Slim the day they came out.

That said, my TB:RB Wii experience suits me, my friends & family just fine.
