Rock Band Guitar Hero ?

Is the rock band guitar compatible with the guitar hero 3 (playstation 3)? I know gh3 is not compatible with rock band. I was thinking of purchasing gh3 but did not want to get the guitar and game just the game.

Unfortunately it is not compatible. Activision only wants you using their products on their games, no one else is allowed at this point in time. So yes, they're forcing you to buy their guitar.

I don't think they are selling GH3 for the PS3 without the guitar
