A friend of mine had a church pamphlet at his house that talked about "teen issues" and stuff like that. Basically, a teen magazine made by a church. In it, it listed video games coming out during the month of September. On September 9th it listed: Guitar Hero Beatles.

It's things like this that make me sad. GH has so much of a following that some people can't even distinguish between it and Rock Band.

You right. It's totally wrong. Guitar Hero The Beatles doesn't come out until 10/10/10

We should come together and burn the magazines manufacture buildings! Or we could write mildly angry letters, your choice.

You're confusing games with companies.

This reminds me of when my mom was watching Fox news on 9/9/09. One of the guys was playing it. The first guy called it "Guitar Hero" and the second said "The Beatles Rock Star".

Also, I was at first surprised to see what this thread was going to offer. I thought the magazine was going to bash the Beatles or something. Instead, they should probably be talking about Guitar Praise.

It's been my experience that publishings from small churches are horribly constructed pieces of writing with very little information actually checked out. Just be glad they didn't condemn the game and attack it with hate journalism, like most around here are known for...

Here's *my* pet peeve: Who else here is old enough to remember when people used to constantly refer to game cartridges as "tapes." I guess 'cause they looked a teeny bit like eight-tracks. That used to drive me crazy. I worked at EB ten years ago, and when a parent asked for a "tape" I'd refuse to sell it to them until they acknowledged that there was no tape inside the magic little game cart. :)

I'll take it the job didn't last long then?

Well, I'd hope not. Who would want to have to endure that kind of stupidity for years on end?

Reminds me of the other day when I was in Gamestop and there was a man coming in very impatiently asking where he could find "Mario". Just... how do you handle a question like that?

Tell him to ask Luigi.

These are the kinds of things that make me not want to work at a game store. I would also have to deal with people buying terrible games.

haha!

For something like this, there's no point in being anything but amused. For the ones publishing such things to make such a basic error it simply shows that they know not what they do.

At any rate I suspect that their following should be playing Jesus Hero or Stone the Harlot rather than a main stream rhythm game.

Just giggle a little and let them crawl back to the rock they live under.
