HeLP!!! Dam whammy bar not working

Ok heres the deal. I just bought rock Band last week.Yesterday noticed my whammy bar not working,took the guitar apart changed the batteries,it worked,great!! Came home from work this morning put the game in,no DAM whammy bar. Its not a spring problem its just not registering, anyone know why?? Or how to fix it??? Any help is MUCH appreciated.

I would try this

1 make certain you have good batteries, that is usally a sign that batteries are going dead.

2 make certain when you turn on the guitar the whammy bar is not pressed down any

3 if all else fails get a warrenty replacement
