Album DLC

I have a quick question: What is the benefit of downloading the abbey road album?

On RB2, if you download an album, of course you have awesome songs to play, but it also opens up an album challenge.

I quess my question is if there will be anything "new" that opens up on the game if I download this album? Or will it just be available in quickplay?

Sorry if this has been addressed elsewhere. I'm at work and don't really have time to search through other threads...

I don't think any extras have been announced, but if you purchase the whole album you will get to play the "Abbey Road Medley" as one long track, which is worth it.

An album challenge opens if you have three or more tracks from an album; it's not a bonus for paying for the whole thing as one package. For example, I have the Foo album challenge and less then half of that album, a Live at Leeds challenge, and a Cars challenge.

Benefits for getting the whole thing: DISCOUNT(unless you're on wii), having all of the songs off one of the great albums of the last century, being able to click "ABBEY ROAD" in quickplay and go through the entire album in one sitting.

just seems weird that we have to pay for over half of the first side of the album twice since "Come Together", "Something", Octopus's Garden",
"I Want You (She's So Heavy)" and "Here Comes The Sun" are already in the game.

My hope is that something will be listed under the chapter challenges or the like to play the full albums.

Otherwise I think you'd have to create a setlist to play all the songs in order from start to finish?

I always looked at the benefit of buying DLC as getting to play the songs in game. It never even crossed my mind about the new challenges. I just like to play them for the sake of playing. But that's neither here nor there.

I would love to see some possible addition to the achievements down the road including some of the Beatles DLC, I mean they are pretty serious DLC, they are expensive and it sounds like they have to put a ton of work into making each DLC release, so why not add some extras to increase the play value of them!

Ah..I have been reading all of them....and am still new at all this.....but I am still confused on thing.... I have a Wii. So from what I am reading Wii users don't get to download albums...we have to dowload singles right? So what I am confused on is will we (Wii owners) get to buy the Medley???
