ON line quick play questions

I've gone online for some quick play action with others and have a couple of questions. Is there a way to go online without always being the leader? Maybe I'm doing something wrong but everytime I go online for a quickplay it makes me the leader? How can you go online and let others select you? Also should there be some type of starpower rules when online? For example if I am drumming and have starpower should I wait for the singer to activiate first, etc. I would appreciate others thoughts/experiences with this. Thanks.

I believe the way it works is:

You go into Online quickplay, and hit Find Players. It then goes and searches for an already-formed band that is lacking your instrument. If it finds one, it sticks you in there.

If it doesn't find a band that needs your instrument, it forms a new band with you as the leader. Then you wait for other people to find you.


Also should there be some type of starpower rules when online? For example if I am drumming and have starpower should I wait for the singer to activiate first, etc.

I personally usually wait to see if anyone in the band sucks and is going to need rescuing. If not, I'll use my overdrive whenever somebody else does, to boost up the band's multiplier. But since online quickplay scores are just for fun anyway and don't really count towards anything, it doesn't really matter :)
