Just start the game without the SD card in.

however, you can only fit a handfull of songs on the Wii itself, especially if you have anything else saved to the memory. What size SD card are you using? I would recommend the Transcend 4 gb card. It'll hold close to 200 songs.

This is the card. You have to format it with Panasonic SD formatter, but you don't have to do any padding of the card anymore now that Nintendo has updated the Wii firmware.

i thought that for rock band you can still only use 2 gig sd cards. and now i have another problem. i tryed taking the sd card out. and i redownloaded the songs. and now they are on my wii. but when i turned off the wii and put in the sd card it tryed to take the songs and put them on the sd card then it turned off sd card mode and now i cant play any of the songs on my sd card! I NEED HELP!

Start the game WITHOUT the sd card - go to the music store, choose the songs that you have stored in the Wii memory (they should show as "downloaded" - anything store on the SD card will just show "purchased"). Once all the DLC songs are deleted off of your Wii memory you should be able to start the game in SD mode again.

If you don't want to get a bigger SD card - i would just recommend deleting and redownloading songs as needed for what you want to play. As long as you don't delete the license "Pay and Play" file off the Wii memory (you have to go into data management to do that) then you won't have to pay to redownload a song you already purchased. I've actually reach the point on my 4 gb card that I don't have most of the 20 free songs on the card so that I can have more songs that I prefer on there.
