So last night I picked up the game only due to my bundle not being available in Canada. Figured I would rock out on the guitar using my many gh guitars then work on the drums once the bundles become available. First thing I do is go to the xbl download page to download all the songs.
I noticed that there are individual songs and song packs. My question is if I download the song pack are you still able to download the individual song contained in the packs and be charged twice. I found that with the limited songs already released that this interface was a little confusing.
I downloaded the punk pack lets say but I was not sure what songs were in it. Also were individual songs release that were not contained in a pack? I saw "My Iron Lung" by Radiohead but was not sure what pack it was contained in.
Now I could go through each of the downloads and confirm what is contained in what and validate all the songs listed manually. However with just getting the game and wanting to start rocking out I was in a rush. I just wanted to confirm if it was actually possible to download duplicate content and be charged twice.

Yes, you can get charged twice for songs! Be careful!
I've found that when you buy a pack, it removes the three individual songs from the store, but it doesn't do it right away. I use the PSN, btw. I don't know how different it is with XBL.
So pay attention to the songs in a pack if you don't want to pay for them twice.
Oh, and My Iron Lung is only individual, it wasn't in a pack.
The Punk Pack was Ramones - Rockaway Beach, Clash - I Fought the Law, and some cover of a Buzzcocks song.

Thanks for the heads up.
I will have to see if the songs are removed after period of time on the 360 too.

i was hoping that once you pay for the 3-pack, you could delete and redownload the individual songs as often as you'd like. this, however, is not the case. the individual songs and the 3-packs are treated completely separately.
this sucks because one of the songs in a 3-pack may be too hard for your band if it pops up in a mystery setlist (i.e. Blackened by Metallica). since i downloaded the Metallica 3-pack, for me to get rid of Blackened, i have to get rid of all 3 songs! this sucks.
oh, and i haven't noticed the individual songs going away on Xbox Live anytime after i downloaded the 3-packs.
