Missing songs on Rockband 2?

I just purchased Rockband 2 for the Wii. There are supposedly 84 songs that come with it. I have it all set up and am trying to play, but I'm only seeing a set list of 20 songs, regardless of whether I do solo quickplay or band quickplay, how I sort the songs, which instruments I choose, etc. What's going on?

Play the game. More songs get unlocked as you play. The two best choices to unlock everything the quickest:

#1) Career - play to advance as quick as possible. Once you get a manager, when you are on the city selection screen press yellow (on the guitar, at least, the option is listed at the bottom of screen as "Call Manager", it's probably #2 on the wiimote for vox, and yellow on the drums too). He will have a box at the top which will say something like "To get a Merch Girl you need more stars in New York" or "To get a plane you need more stars in Boston". Go for those goals, don't worry about anything that's not getting you there. That will unlock stuff pretty quick.

#2) Do the tour challenges, and play each of the "marathon" challenges as they appear.

But the game doesn't just give you everything all at once, you have to work for it.

Just use the Unlock Songs cheat to see all songs, you won't be able to save any progress though so its only really for practice. Its the same cheat as for RB1 (Press Red, Yellow, Blue, Red(x2), Blue(x2), Red, Yellow, Blue) its just with RB1 you do it at the main Rockband screen and with RB2 you go into the Extras menu. To get them permanently you have to do as the previous reply states.

To unlock using tour challenges, you only have to play the decades challenges. No marathon or infinite challenges are required.

Oops - thats right. I usually don't do the tour challenges so I got the wrong one.
