For the love of god please shoot whoever in the marketing department that thinks its "OK" to go mucking about with my browser size when loading your website.

Agreed. Please remove the maximizing of the window. It's annoying, and very bad practice.
For those using Firefox though just go to Preferences -> Content. Click on the advanced button next to the Javascript label and then uncheck "Move or resize existing windows." That should fix your issues.
Still, should never control a browser's viewport size or position for your site.

I used to as well. Now that I'm on my widescreen monitor with a high resolution I usually keep my browser about 2/3 the screen width (allows me to keep some desktop icons visible which is nice) but everytime I would go to their homepage it would maximize. It got very annoying.
